Happy Birthday, Girl Scouts! We are in the midst of Girl Scout Week, which runs from March 07 to March 13 this year. Girl Scout Week surrounds March 12, today, which is the birthday of the Girl Scouts. Juliette “Daisy” Gordon Low started the Girl Scouts on March 12, 1912, when she assembled 18 girls from Savannah, Georgia. Today there are over 3.4 million members, with another 50 million women who are alumnae. (source)

March 6, 1836 marked the end of the seize during the Battle of the Alamo, an important event in the Texas Revolution.

The Alamo, originally known as Mission San Antonio de Valero, is in San Antonio, Texas. It has been made into a museum.

If you are planning a visit to San Anotonio, make sure you don’t miss it.
