World Rivers Day 0

Sep26

Imaging a world without rivers.  It would be a far less wonderful place.  Rivers are so vital to communities, now and historically.  Rivers give water, food, power, transportation, recreation, and beauty.  We must do all we can to protect our rivers – worldwide.

National Punctuation Day 1

Today is National Punctuation Day.  Punctuation seems to be unappreciated in today’s world.  Our kids can’t imagine what a semicolon would be for, if not as a wink.  Punctuation is vital.  It gives meaning to a string of words. Ambiguity would run rampant if not for punctuation.

Today we honor the comma; we remember the importance of the apostrophe.  Today we recognize that without the quotation mark, we might just be living in anarchy.
