The name Boxing Day refers to a giving Christmas boxes to the poor. It has been celebrated for hundreds of years, and it is now a day of fun and sometimes silly events.

Today is Remembrance Day in the UK. This day commemorates those who have died in war. Ceremonies are held to remember those who died in WWI, WWII, and other conflicts, including The Falklands, Bosnia, Kosovo, and the ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
